ステキ だ ね
[This is] wonderful, isn't it?
ne: sentence ending particle that someone is looking for agreement.
"suteki da" declares that something is wonderful. Sounds familiar? Yes, we learned that "da" is attached to a noun and declares the state of being. But wasn't "suteki" also a na-adjective? Yes, na-adjectives and nouns are pretty much the same! If you look up a word e.g. on jisho.org, you'll often see "noun, na-adjective" as word type.
Don't worry about the difference. Just keep in mind that:
- noun + da declares the noun as state-of-being.
- noun + na acts as adjective, describing another noun.
- noun and na-adjectives are pretty much the same.
